Infrastructure specialist enters into exclusive agreement with IPE as the sole distributor of EMU intelligent power management solutions in EMEA

Argosy, a leading international supplier of broadcast cables and infrastructure products, is further expanding its capability to deliver power management products and services by becoming the exclusive distributor of IPE’s EMU intelligent mains monitoring range to EMEA.

“With IPE’s EMU line, we can put together more tailored solutions both for our broadcast clients and those in other sectors that require basic and/or intelligent power management,” said Chris Smeeton, Managing Director, Argosy. “This partnership proves our ongoing commitment to our customers, ensuring we can offer the very best power management systems and equip facilities to run as efficiently as possible.”

The control and monitoring of power are two of the most important issues facing facility managers today. With many installations spread over different locations, the need for a simple, centralized control solution that can manage every aspect of performance, from controlling individual outputs to monitoring alerts, has never been greater. IPE’s intelligent, expandable power distribution solutions are trusted by facilities around the globe, including educational facilities, banks, houses of worship, pre- and post- production facilities, OB vehicles, and state-of-the-art watercraft.

“We’re delighted that Argosy has added our power management solutions to their catalogue,” adds Reuben Such, Head of Sales and Support at IPE. “Having established long-standing relationships with key systems integrators and major broadcasters across EMEA, Argosy moves in markets where IPE is still relatively unknown. They also share the same company values as we do; their integrity, transparency, and hard-working culture gives us every faith that our products will be well represented.”

All IPE EMU units can be daisy chained together — providing up to 48 outputs via a single IP connection — and come with an embedded web server that enables continuous remote control and monitoring via an intuitive web-interface. The units easily monitor the health and status of racks and every connected output, and their advanced email alerting capability provides extensive reporting back to systems administrators and engineering teams.

Argosy is an established expert and provider of power management solutions to the broadcast and AV industries, with a portfolio that consists of its own brand of mains distribution units, as well as power management solutions from TSL Products and ATEN. The addition of IPE’s EMU range expands Argosy’s intelligent power management offering significantly.

The full range of Argosy’s power management solutions can be seen at IBC stand 10.C51 at Amsterdam’s Rai, 15-19 September.
