Multi Channel Network (MCN), which manages advertising sales for multiple premium Australian media brands, will streamline its business operations with Harris Broadcast Landmark™ media sales software. Landmark will provide a fully integrated sales solution making it simple for the company’s sales teams to develop compelling advertising campaigns for clients with increased automation and efficiency.

MCN, a joint venture between Foxtel and FOX SPORTS, represents advertising opportunities for 55 premium subscription television brands. The company trades primarily with a network of media buying agencies that purchase airtime in return for the platforms’ high-value audiences.

The new Landmark implementation will allow MCN to continue to work with its clients while leveraging automated toolsets available in Landmark across the large channel portfolio with minimal manual intervention. This will ensure that MCN achieves the maximum business and operational efficiency and can continue to deliver the most optimal campaign results for MCN’s clients.

Prior to choosing Harris Broadcast, MCN undertook an extensive due diligence phase across the globe and discovered a variety of reference points that demonstrated deployments of various scales. The scalability and comprehensive nature of the solution influenced MCN’s decision to proceed with the Landmark solution.

“This is a major investment for MCN, and a critical part of our continued expansion and business continuity,” said Angela Goodsir, operations director, systems and development at MCN. “To choose the right technical ally we looked at complex solutions that have been implemented around the world, and it was clear that Harris Broadcast was leading the way. We are collaborating closely to achieve the solution we require.”

Harris Broadcast Landmark is a highly automated and scalable sales, traffic and billing solution focused on optimization and operational efficiency at enterprise media sales organizations. With Landmark, huge numbers of complex campaigns can be simultaneously launched and delivered with minimal interaction, freeing up sales executives to keep selling. It enables efficient operation by fully automated spot placement across multiple simultaneously available selling methodologies.

“Broadcasters and media organizations like MCN require business software that can easily scale to the size of the operation today and accommodate future growth,” said Harris Morris, CEO, Harris Broadcast. “This includes large multi-channel deployments similar to MCN, and those that span multiple countries and encompass hundreds of channels. The MCN implementation is particularly interesting as it involves integration with the company’s existing workflows, and content delivered to multiple platforms — a well-known strong point for Harris Broadcast.”

The Harris Broadcast Landmark implementation at MCN is a rolling program, and scheduled for completion in early 2014.
