Argosy, a leading international supplier of HD cables and infrastructure products, is joining this year’s Essential Install Live! North show (Stand no 11, Event City, Manchester, 12th October 2016) with a broad portfolio of products aimed at pro audio recording and commercial proAV applications.

“The proAV market has been a major focus for Argosy since its acquisition by IEWC last year,” explained Chris Smeeton, Managing Director EMEA at Argosy. “The backing of IEWC is allowing Argosy to delve into exciting new vertical markets, which in turn increases our ability to make volume purchases and achieve better pricing for our customers,” explained Smeeton.

Broadening its remit from TV studios and outside broadcast, the company is bringing over 30 years of experience in broadcast cabling and service provision to the proAV market. At the show in Manchester, UK, visitors will benefit from Argosy’s special partnerships with both American networking manufacturer, Belden and KVM switch manufacturer ATEN.

Argosy will be introducing the brand new Belden Rev Connect Cat 06 crimp tool, a complete connectivity solution for CAT 5e, CAT 6 and CAT 6A UTP and STP which makes it easier to attach connectors to cables, speeding up the time it takes to terminate on site.

Also on show for the first time in the proAV world are ATEN’s KVM-over-IP products, including the low-cost VM0404HA 4 x 4 4K HDMI matrix switch which provides powerful HD processing to produce 4K resolutions across four displays with crystal clear images, as well as the ATEN VK2100 control system; which delivers a more efficient way of working by providing instant access to a matrix of hardware devices from virtually any and every location across a facility including access via an iPad using the VK2100 App.

“Overall, we are modernising our activities by providing new services and support with regards to cabling and infrastructure solutions,” said Smeeton. “By building on strategic partnerships with companies such as Belden and ATEN, we’ve a new found agility that not only ensures that we remain a key player in the cabling and infrastructure field for broadcast but also gives us the opportunity to share our extensive experience with the proAV market.”

Other products on show include a range of racks, mains distribution units, patch panels, KVM solutions, fibre and Ensemble Design active video gear with a focus on ‘intelligent’ technology.
