Argosy, a leading international supplier of HD broadcast cables and studio infrastructure products, is demonstrating the breadth of its range of infrastructure and technical products at CABSAT 2015 (Dubai World Trade Centre, 10 – 12 March). This includes a range of products to connect, interface and test IP data streams as well as traditional audio and video architectures.

Argosy has built a roster of some of the world’s leading manufacturers, and customers in the Middle East and North Africa increasingly rely on Argosy to provide the best advice as well as rapid access to stocks. The company has a warehouse in Dubai from which it can supply much of its range very quickly and efficiently across the region.

One new device on show at CABSAT for the first time is the Enterprise data stream analyser from Hamlet, which Argosy distributes in the region. Like all the instruments in the Hamlet range this is designed to be a practical tool, used everyday in operational settings. The Enterprise is a tablet-sized handheld device, capable of providing all the data analysis needed to check signals are performing perfectly, across all the formats and streaming protocols in popular use.

Among connectivity products, Argosy will be featuring the Neutrik® opticalCON advanced tactical fibre assemblies, including the opticalCON Duo, opticalCON Quad and the debut in the Middle East of the latest addition to the range, the opticalCON MTP® connection systems. These provide a broad range of multiplexed connectivity solutions, including fibre splitters and high resilience connectors. The Ghielmetti range of connection, routing, switching and monitoring of audio, video and data signals will also be shown. Users in the region have found their Swiss precision and ruggedness extremely popular for mission critical applications.

“Busy engineers under pressure have to focus on strategic decisions, and rely on us to provide them with the best advice, and the best products, to install, connect and support their architectures,” said Chris Smeeton, sales director at Argosy. “We invest considerable time in identifying the best products from around the world, so we can give advice to our customers on what will suit their specific requirements best.

“We are regular exhibitors at CABSAT, because it is a great environment for us to have real conversations with those customers,” Smeeton added. “That helps us understand the changes the industry is seeing, and that in turn means we identify more products we need to bring to the market. So through CABSAT our customers are helping us to help them – it is a perfect balance for all.”
