Dejero Further Extends Workflows to the Field with Blended IP Network Technology at Broadcast Asia 2017

Dejero, an innovator in cloud-managed solutions that simplify the transport of live video and real-time data across remote or mobile IP networks, is attending the Broadcast Asia 2017 show (Suntec Singapore, 23-25 May, Ideal Systems booth 6M3-01) with its latest developments in the area of IP connectivity and network blending for the transport of video and data from remote locations. These solutions, including the brand new Dejero Gateway, provide electronic newsgathering (ENG) and production crews working remotely with a virtual network that extends broadcast workflows to the field.

During the show, Dejero will join a host of other broadcast equipment manufacturers and solution providers taking part in the ‘Broadcast IP Inter-Op Lab @ Level 6’, targeted at Asian broadcasters who are increasingly moving towards IP-based systems and facing interoperability issues when making key technology investments. The ‘IP Inter-Op Lab’ will include a live broadcast studio, content editing and distribution to OTT, all running over IP in real time. Visitors will get hands-on experience on the interoperability capabilities of technologies from different manufacturers.

Dejero’s founder, Bogdan Frusina will also give a presentation on “Blending IP Networks: The Next Step in Extending Workflows to the Field” at the Broadcast IP Inter-Op Lab on Thursday 25th May, Thursday (Day 3) at 1:30pm at the IP Theater.

“Dejero is very well established when it comes to IP connectivity and our network blending technology has enabled field broadcast journalists to broadcast live and transfer high quality content back to base from the remotest of locations,” said Mark Moore, VP of International Sales at Dejero. “The technology also enables crews to work with their facility’s newsroom systems as if they were actually back at base, thus extending broadcasters’ workflows right into the field.”

The Dejero Gateway solution will be on show in Singapore this month having made its official debut at NAB 2017. Providing field crews with reliable, fast, and secure access to the public Internet and private networks while in remote locations, Gateway users can quickly send and receive large files or access newsroom systems using Dejero’s network blending technology. The complete Gateway solution includes in-vehicle equipment, cellular connectivity services, cloud management and support.

New capabilities of Dejero’s versatile EnGo mobile transmitter will also be showcased. The new EnGo Vehicle Mount Kit with integrated signal booster allows the mobile transmitter to be used like a rack-mounted encoder/transmitter in a cellular, satellite or hybrid IP transmission vehicle. The EnGo can quickly be disconnected from the cradle and placed in a backpack, a sling bag, or mounted directly on a camera to give crews maximum mobility when on the scene of breaking news and live events. The kit is available for existing EnGo units.

New EnGo features include the ability to transfer video to a Dejero server while recording, faster uploading of clips to get footage back to the station as quickly as possible, and renaming of clips on the server to simplify the management of files. Visitors will also be able to learn how the EnGo makes international travel easier with global roaming options and the convenient user-changeable SIM module.

Dejero will also showcase the recent enhancements to its LIVE+ Multipoint cloud service which enables broadcasters and media organizations to share live HD content simultaneously across multiple locations and between different entities anywhere in the world. New capabilities include multichannel audio and closed captioning. Group and single event point-to-multipoint packages are now available in addition to a fully customized, unlimited use package for scenarios requiring multipoint-to-multipoint content sharing.
