New appointments in region support increasing demand in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific

Signiant, the market leader in intelligent file movement software for the media and entertainment industry, has increased its sales and support staff to meet rapidly growing global demand for its products. The developments follow on from the recent appointment of industry leader Greg Hoskin as Managing Director with responsibility for Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as the Asia-Pacific markets.

Long established as the solution of choice for mission-critical file movement workflows, Signiant’s enterprise software is used by major broadcasters and content providers across the region.  Continued growth in enterprise products has been dramatically augmented in recent months with the widespread adoption of Media Shuttle, the company’s cloud-delivered file transfer solution.   “It is exciting to build out a world-class team to support a steep growth trajectory as the industry moves through another wave of technological change,” noted Hoskin.  “I am committed to building a locally responsive organization that will understand our customers’ needs and work closely with them to realize the full benefits of the Signiant product portfolio.”

Recent additions to the global team include Jonathan Lunness, James Mansfield, Jamie Lakin, and Steve Gibson, all based in the UK.  Prior to Signiant, Mr. Lunness – regional sales director – most recently was a consultant to broadcasters on all aspects of file based workflow, automation, DAM, and server based operations.  Behind that he draws from two decades of industry experience at companies like Harris, Omneon, Phillips, and Miranda.  James Mansfield joins Signiant as a regional sales manager and offers his knowledge of the post production industry gained from his recent experience at FilmLight and Quantel.  Jamie Lakin joins the team as key account manager for EMEA drawing on his client development skills from previous roles in the IT industry.  Alongside these sales appointments, Steve Gibson joins the solutions architecture team to add technical depth across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

“Ease of use is driving adoption of Media Shuttle by media organizations large and small, and now they are also starting to fully appreciate the benefits of a hybrid SaaS solution,” said Hoskin. “Especially as customers explore storing media assets in the cloud, we’re beginning to experience strong demand for our object storage solutions.  Signiant’s leadership position with respect to every dimension of cloud technology is becoming increasingly clear, and I’m confident that my expanding team is well suited to support this evolution in our customers’ needs.”
