FilmLight, the leading colour grading and workflow specialist, has strengthened its sales channel in South Africa with the appointment of leading digital media distributor, Touchvision.
Touchvision already distributes digital media and design products from a number of manufacturers including Apple, Autodesk and Adobe and will work alongside existing reseller, MediaCloud, to help sell FilmLight’s new and existing product range in the African production and post-production markets.
Touchvision’s motto is to provide production professionals with tools, supported by professional people, while not compromising on levels of quality or service. The company has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town and also provides consultation on features, pipeline integrations and budget.
Leigh Pearson, sales and managing partner says, “We are excited to officially promote FilmLight in this territory because we understand the local business, see the opportunities and have faith in FilmLights’ product offering. It has a great track record both locally and internationally and has helped many high profile post-production facilities and studios become more efficient and productive. I have no doubt that together, with both our sales and marketing teams, we can bring further success to both our companies.”
MediaCloud’s Marc Eckstein has welcomed the addition of Touchvision to the team saying that this will solidify the already strong relationship between the two resellers. “We congratulate Leigh, Chris and Stacey on Touchvision’s appointment and look forward to working with Touchvision on building the FilmLight brand and sharing great ideas and strategies in the future,” Eckstein said. “MediaCloud sees a good synergy between the customers and is already working on new opportunities with Touchvision.”
Jim Mansfield, FilmLight sales manager for EMEA, commented, “Over the years, FilmLight has built very strong links with Cape Town and Johannesburg and we’re delighted that we can reinforce our reseller partners in South Africa. Our existing clients are very important to us and by working with MediaCloud and adding Touchvision to our channel we look forward to increasing our client services and sales remit across the wider markets in Africa.”
