MRTV Entertainment Channel launch marks first Imagine Communications integrated playout deployment in Myanmar
HONG KONG, Sept. 28, 2016 – Imagine Communications, empowering the media and entertainment industry through transformative innovation, has deployed its market-leading Versio™ integrated playout solution to support the launch of a new channel for Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV), the MRTV Entertainment Channel.
To speed deployment and reduce the need for complex maintenance, MRTV Entertainment Channel deployed Imagine Communications’ Versio, which combines best–in-class automation, branding, graphics, file server, storage and master control capabilities in an entirely integrated environment. The MRTV Entertainment Channel is broadcast on Digital Terrestrial on DVBT2 across the country and airs movies and educational programs. Since the 2015 General Elections, Myanmar has been carrying out media reforms, which include the transformation of state-owned broadcasting into public service broadcasting.
